Experimental Camera
Description
AThe point, line, and plane are the essential elements in graphic design, without which we cannot express our design ideas. The point can be regarded as the origin of the universe and is the basis of all graphics. Points form lines and countless lines from planes. In this project, I abstractly disassembled the dots, lines, and planes in the video.
Design Process
In the beginning, I thought that every frame represented a point in the video, so I wanted to capture a screenshot of every frame.
The text is readable at the top of the screen, but after flipping over, you'll notice that they're less readable. At the same time, the text becomes either filled or unfilled squares. It is all done through the act of flipping.
But when I adjusted the clarity, I inadvertently got this effect:
This made me think that I don't have to take screenshots to get the point in time. In the same frame, I can also use color and pixel to get the point line surface. Therefore, I reimagined my idea regarding each pixel as a starting point, light and shadow as a line, and then presented the image.
Reflection
This project was challenging for me. I faced several difficulties, such as presenting multiple videos at the beginning and how to change the size of pixels according to the light randomly. Because of these problems, I have gained a lot.
