Project #3 Experimental Clock

Description

Hours, minutes, seconds, years, months, days... In my opinion, time is not a number. It is fragmented and abstract. Time can be circular, rectangular, or triangular. Every time we go through is different. In my work, I use the transformation of the square to show the difference between the time and the second. Besides, rhythm is also a critical point that I emphasize in my works.

Design Process

BI first came up with using squares to represent each unit of time from my understanding of time. Then arrange them in terms of the sum of them. I think the time is cumulative, so I've placed it on a ladder. As for the visual effects, I opted for a more vibrant and bouncing color on a dark background to liveliness the image.

Reflection

The whole process was smooth and enjoyable, and I also deepened my understanding of p5 points. The only real problem is the need to adjust the proportions between the four parts carefully.
